Services

Portland Treehouse Company provides a wide range of treehouse services.  If you are dreaming up a simple platform, live-aboard treehouse, or have an existing treehouse that needs some love you can start by contacting us.

Consultation

Whether your treehouse dreams are just a whisper of an idea or a fully formed plan that is ready to fly, send us an email detailing your vision. Once we have made contact and have a general idea of the scope of your project we will schedule an onsite consultation. The cost of this visit will be determined during this initial correspondence and factor in the scale of your project and your location.

This is an exciting part where we get to meet each other and meet the trees to determine what we can all build together. On top of answering your questions, a site visit can include: a survey of the land in search of the best tree, detailed measurements of specific trees, assessing access, identifying potential building materials available on site, and a general estimate. This is also the phase where we get to hear your vision about the aesthetic preferences, intended uses, size, materials, and budget of your structure. Depending on the scale of the project, we may recommend your trees be checked out by a certified arborist in addition to our visual assessment.

Design and Estimate

Once we have gathered all of the information from the site visit we can create a visual representation of your treehouse and the numbers that go along with it.  At this point we figure out how to make your vision and your budget line up so you can get the best treehouse for your money. This fine tuning is the balancing act between fantasy and reality. We will provide you with detailed drawings and cost estimates based on the materials and labor needed to complete your project. If the construction estimate for your treehouse is above $10,000, a 5% deposit is required for beginning this phase.

Contract and Scheduling

Based on the design and estimate, we will submit a contract to you that detail the logistics of your treehouse build. Once the contract has been signed, we ask for a deposit of 50% of the estimated budget to finance initial materials and labor. The deposit will officially add your project to our calendar. Depending on the scale of your project, permitting may be required and will play a role in both the budget and scheduling aspects of this phase.

Construction

Now the moment you have been waiting for! This is when we come in with our ropes, drills, and saws and turn your fantasies into something you can enjoy. With safety as our highest value and creativity as our guiding principle, we will work with the tree(s) to create the structure of your dreams.
